Mark D. Jicka was admitted to the Mississippi Bar in 1991. He has served on the Steering Committee for DRI's Products Liability Committee and served as the Expert Witness Chair for that Committee. His practice focuses on defending manufacturers at trial and on appeal. He has handled cases for clients in Mississippi, Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, Louisiana, and Kentucky. His cases of note include Dorsey v. Blue Bird Corp., 74 F. Supp. 3d 779 (N.D. Miss. 2014); Bailey v. Lockheed Martin Corp., 261 F. App’x 713 (5th Cir. 2008); Shelter Ins. Co. v. Mercedes-Benz USA, LLC, 236 F. App’x 45, (5th Cir. 2007); Langford v. Makita U.S.A., 1998 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 15578 (Sept. 2, 1998); and Crane Co. v. Kitzinger, 860 So. 2d 1196 (Miss. 2003).
Mark was appointed to the Criminal Justice Act Panel - United States Public Defender's Office (Trial Counsel/Habeas Counsel) and as a Special Prosecutor for the Hinds County District Attorney's Office. He has been listed in Mid-South Super Lawyers since 2006.
