Corey D. Hinshaw has been selected as a Fellow of the Mississippi Bar Foundation. Fellows are selected for membership based on their excellence as a lawyer and their dedication and service to the public and profession.  Since its organization in 1963, the Mississippi Bar Foundation has come to represent the highest level of professionalism and competence for a Mississippi lawyer.

Corey is an accomplished litigator and has practiced at Watkins & Eager since 2004.  He currently serves as the firm’s managing member.  Corey has extensive experience in the areas of product liability litigation, commercial litigation, personal injury defense and general civil litigation.  He has had extensive involvement over the years in managing and working on complex litigation in state and federal courts. 

Corey has been recognized in The Best Lawyers in America® since 2018 and is recognized for Product Liability Litigation, Commercial Litigation, Insurance Litigation, Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions and Personal Injury Litigation-Defendants.  He was named the Lawyer of the Year in Mississippi in 2024 for Product Liability Litigation-Defendants.  Corey has also been named in Super Lawyers® as a Mid-South Super Lawyer in the areas of Personal Injury-General, Personal Injury-Products, and Class Actions/Mass Torts for many years and named a Top 50 Mississippi Super Lawyer in 2018 and 2020. 

Corey has served on the Board of Bar Commissioners for the Mississippi Bar and on its Executive Committee.  He also previously served as President of the Jackson Young Lawyers.  Corey currently serves as a Vice Chair for the Business Litigation Committee of the American Bar Association’s Tort, Trial and Insurance Practice Section (TIPS).  He is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and a Fellow of the Mississippi Bar Young Lawyers Division.  Corey is a past recipient of the Jackson Young Lawyers Pro Bono Award, the Mississippi Bar’s Outstanding Young Lawyer Award, the Mississippi Volunteer Lawyers' Project’s Curtis E. Coker Access to Justice Award and was previously named one of the Mississippi Business Journal’s "Top 40 Under 40".  Corey also currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Mississippi Early Learning Alliance and the Mississippi Heritage Trust.
