Four Attorneys Join Watkins & Eager’s Birmingham Office

Birmingham – James A. “Jamey” Harris, III, James A.  Harris, Jr., Clyde O. “Tres” Westbrook, III, and Nicole Mapp Hardee have joined Watkins & Eager’s Birmingham, Alabama, office and will practice with the firm’s appellate and commercial litigation groups. Prior to joining Watkins & Eager, all four attorneys practiced at Harris & Harris, LLP, in Birmingham.

Jamey Harris has practiced law for twenty-eight (28) years during which he has assisted companies and individuals in a wide variety of cases involving commercial and products liability litigation. Jamey’s practice focuses on real estate litigation, banking and financial services litigation, insurance litigation, public finance litigation, personal injury defense, elevator and escalator litigation, and products liability defense.

Jamey is a member of the Alabama Bar Association, Birmingham Bar Association, and American Bar Association. He received his bachelor’s degree, cum laude, from Duke University and his Juris Doctorate from the University of Alabama School of Law.

Following a clerkship with the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, James A. Harris, Jr., has now practiced law for over fifty (50) years. Mr. Harris has handled and tried a wide variety of cases over the years. Today, his practice is predominately focused on complex business litigation, and includes antitrust to securities cases.

Tres Westbrook’s practice is focused on commercial civil litigation at the trial and appellate level.  He has represented businesses and individuals in state and federal courts throughout the country.  Tres received his bachelor’s degree from Auburn University at Montgomery and earned his Juris Doctorate, summa cum laude, from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law.  At Cumberland, Tres was honored with several book awards and graduated first in his class. Tres was admitted into the Phi Kappa Phi honor society and inducted into Cumberland’s leadership and honor society, Curia Honoris. Tres is a member of the Alabama Bar Association, Birmingham Bar Association, and American Bar Association. 

Nicole Hardee concentrates her practice on commercial litigation matters. She represents client interests through all phases of litigation including alternative dispute resolution, jury trials and appeals. Nicole received her bachelor’s degree from the University of North Florida, MBA from Samford University, and Juris Doctorate from Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law.  Nicole is a member of the Alabama Bar Association, Birmingham Bar Association, and American Bar Association.
