Watkins & Eager is pleased to announce that Corey D. Hinshaw, a member of the firm, has been elected to the Board of Commissioners of The Mississippi Bar.
In January of each year, the Mississippi Bar conducts elections both electronically and by mail ballot in accordance with the Bar's election policies and procedures. The ballots for the 2020 Bar elections were certified to the Bar by Survey & Ballot Systems on January 31st following the voting deadline. Corey will begin his three-year term as Commissioner at the conclusion of the 2020 Annual Meeting in July.
Corey has practiced law with Watkins & Eager since he was admitted to the Mississippi Bar in 2004. He has represented the interests of individuals, small businesses and large corporations in a diverse range of matters involving every phase of litigation, including jury trials, appeals and alternative dispute resolution. Corey has significant experience in a variety of litigation including complex and mass torts, pharmaceutical litigation, products liability, premises liability and insurance bad faith. He is actively involved in numerous professional, community and bar organizations. Corey also serves as a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee.
