Commercial Lending and Finance

The Commercial Lending and Finance practice group provides sophisticated, professional and cost-effective legal counsel to institutional lenders in multiple areas, such as secured and unsecured corporate credit facilities, asset-based financing transactions, and other complex banking transactions. Our attorneys have extensive experience in areas such as single-lender and multi-lender financings and nationally syndicated credits; loan participations; corporate lending to middle market companies for working capital, capital expenditures and other purposes; local counsel representation of lenders in large, multi-state loan transactions; and nontraditional financing incorporating equity.  We assist our clients throughout all stages of the transaction process, from the initial development of the structure for the transaction to the negotiation, documentation and closing of the loan, and even in the administration of the credit facilities. Additionally, the Commercial Lending and Finance group possesses expertise in specialized areas of financing, such as derivatives (interest rate swaps), aircraft finance, barge / vessel finance, leasing transactions and loans structured as bond financing.
